Tobi Léveillé RAD RTS - Studio Owner
Studio Owner Ms. Tobi Léveillé started dance classes at the age of 7 as a supplement to her competitive figure skating training which included ballet, jazz, & tap. Her post-secondary education includes Arts at University of Manitoba, Medical Radiological Diagnostic Technology (x-ray technology), Year 1 Teacher Training with the RWB, and Royal Academy of Dance Teaching Certification in Classical Ballet.
She taught and choreographed for numerous studios and schools in Winnipeg until she opened Encore Studios (previously known as Promenade Dance Academy) 20 years ago.
Ms. Tobi believes passionately that:
- People who dance are stronger mentally and physically
- Having a passion for dance trumps talent in terms of how far one can progress through meaningful practice
- Everybody should be given the opportunity to shine regardless of skills and limitations
- Quality dance education should be made equally available as both a recreational activity as well as a vocation.
Ms. Tobi loves having a studio that makes dance enjoyable and celebrates all students' successes at every level!
Anne Léveillé - Artistic Director
Artistic Director Anne Leveille’s dedication to dance and her multifaceted experiences are inspiring. Anne began dancing at the age of 3 at Encore Studios. She competed with Encore from age 7 and started teaching at 15, gaining valuable experience in various genres.
As a competitive dancer, Miss Anne received multiple scholarships, overalls & judges choice awards. She passed her Royal Academy of Dance Intermediate Exam and performed with hip hop crew ‘Prodigy’ under the direction of Alemar Regala.
Encore Studios ignited Miss Anne’s love for performing which led her to work in acting & modeling. As an actor, she has trained in Toronto, Los Angeles, Vancouver & Calgary and has appeared in various stage productions and movies as supporting and lead roles.
After her competitive dance years, Miss Anne moved to Vancouver to pursue her dance career. She completed the Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program and worked at various studios as both a choreographer & teacher. Miss Anne also had the privilege of working with industry leading choreographers such as Carlo Atienza, Joe Tuliao, Jessa Doll, Nadia White & many more.
Known for her dedication, Miss Anne ensures students & families receive a high-quality dance experience. She fosters self-discovery in dancers of all levels and teaches life skills through movement & creativity.
Her journey exemplifies the transformative power of dance, and she is excited to connect with dancers as Artistic Director of Encore Studios.
